The Myth of the Late Bloomer

Updated: Apr 14

You are never late. You are right on time...

Obviously different actions deem different results, but what happened has already happened. It’s unnecessary to beat yourself up or live in regret.

What’s done is done. You did what you had to do or what you thought was right given what information you had at that moment in time.

And that's a great thing!

You have a special calling to share what works and what doesn’t work.

Your experiences have shaped you in the most unique way to be one of society’s most valuable assets.

You came into this life to be a guide. A healer of sorts.

Here are 4 reminders to hold in your pocket when you’re feeling down about your journey.

*For a lack of a better term I shall use “late bloomer” 😅

1.You Know Who You Are

Late bloomers often spend more time exploring their interests and values, leading to a deeper understanding of who they are. This self-awareness can result in more fulfilling career and life choices.

2. You Have Stronger Emotional Intelligence and Unique Perspectives

Late bloomers often develop high emotional intelligence from years of observing, reflecting, and growing. This makes them better at handling relationships, communication, and leadership roles. Because they take their time to reach milestones, late bloomers often bring fresh, unconventional viewpoints to their work and relationships. This can make them more innovative and adaptable.

3.You Achieve Success on Your Own Terms

Instead of following society’s timeline, late bloomers craft their own paths, often finding deeper satisfaction in their achievements because they align with their true passions and goals.Your unique path will lead you to gains beyond your imagination because you’ve gathered the knowledge you need to go all in.

4.You Are Resilient and Rooted

Since late bloomers typically face challenges or setbacks early on, they develop perseverance and emotional strength, making them better equipped to handle future obstacles.

Rushing success can lead to burnout, but late bloomers usually pace themselves, allowing for more sustainable and long-term achievements. They also tend to appreciate success more when it comes.

Conclusion

Your timeline and your journey is a strength that you should wholeheartedly  be proud of. Trust yourself and trust your journey.  It is absolutely useless to compare journeys cause we all came into this life with a different mission. You never know whose life you’re saving or could save just by having the specific journey you had.
